KIMINOYA Gujo

location
Kiminoya is located in the Gujo Hachiman Kitamachi Traditional Buildings Preservation District—
On the west side of this street, you’ll find a row of townhouses built in a particularly unified architectural style.
At first glance, they appear to be two-story buildings from the street,
but in fact, they are three-story townhouses,
cleverly utilizing the natural difference in elevation of the land.

At our inn, the lowest level—called Shitaya—serves as a bathing area for guests.
A century-old townhouse built on former samurai land
Preserving its traditional architectural style and layout,
this warm and nostalgic townhouse—crafted from wood and earth—
invites a gentle breeze through its earthen-floor corridor,
soothing both body and soul.
Wrapped in a calming atmosphere that gently engages the senses,
we invite you to relax and unwind in the peaceful embrace of this traditional Machiya inn.
